Celebrations 2025 in Kitutu Central Sub County, Kisii County – Kenia

The celebrations began on 1 December 2025 and lasted until 10 December 2025.
So far, 12 sub-locations (places in Kisii County) have been visited, which is two sub-locations per day. 
By 8 December 2025, 422 girls had already been celebrated by being protected from female genital mutilation. Their parents, relatives and guardians have agreed to protect their daughters (our girls) by taking part in the ceremonies and accompanying the young girls to the ceremonies.

2 December 2025 – Santa and Matieko Sub Location

With singing and dancing, and the presentation of certificates, the young girls are formally welcomed into their community. The photos were taken on 2 December 2025 during the celebrations in Santa and Matieko Sub Location. A total of 67 girls were welcomed into the two communities.

5 December 2025 – Nyakoe – Iranda / Riamorumbwa Seventh-day Adventist Church
