In April 2026, the new board of Mosocho Enka Enyia C.B.O., the Kenyan partner organisation of Partners of Change e.V. from Augsburg, was officially constituted. Together with Partners of Change, the organisation has been working for many years to provide long-term protection for girls and women against female genital mutilation and to promote social change in the Mosocho region.
The board members set out joint objectives for the coming years. Among other things, the plan is to expand project work to other regions and to further strengthen the organisation’s social commitment to combating female genital mutilation and gender-based violence, as well as to promoting education and health. Building partnerships with supporters and local decision-makers also plays an important role in this regard.
Another key focus of the meeting was the clear allocation of responsibilities within the organisation. The board, project management and on-site coordinators agreed to continue working closely and transparently together in order to build on the successful work of recent years.
In addition, discussions took place regarding the recruitment of additional staff to better manage the growing workload in the communities. With this reorganisation, Mosocho Enka Enyia C.B.O., together with Partners of Change e.V., is sending a strong signal of continuity, further development and the long-term protection of girls and women in Kenya. Partners of Change e.V. accompanies and supports the continued momentum and expansion of the work, both financially and in terms of guidance, thereby sustainably strengthening the vital prevention and awareness-raising work on the ground.
The government official who observed the election hands the chairperson the new certificate for Mosocho Enka Enyia.
